He served as an elected trustee of the Bakersfield City School Board and has been the Chair of the Kern County Republican Party Committee for 11 years. Ken has also been a dedicated member of the Bakersfield City Council for the past 18 years. His dedication to fiscal responsibility and public service has made him a leader capable of effectively representing the 32nd Assembly District.
Recently, Vince Fong won a special election and is now serving as the US Congressman for the district. He is running for re-election for the ‘25-‘26 term in Congress. However, the Secretary of State did not remove Vince’s name from the November ballot for State Assembly. As a result, both Ken’s and Vince’s names appear on the ballot for Assembly.
It’s crucial to remind and educate friends and family that Vince is running for re-election to Congress, not State Assembly. Vince supports Ken for the Assembly seat. Ken’s name is printed on the Assembly ballot, and he is actively running for that position.
